Walking fast at such elevation could lead to medical complications (Acute Mountain Sickness) which could be serious. There is less oxygen compared to sea level in high-altitude places. The higher, altitude will be the less oxygen in the air. Although we provide information regarding AMS insurance, the only option for treatment is descending (evacuation). We advise that clients with known heart, lung or blood diseases or clients over the age of 60 discuss with their doctor before traveling with us.

This trekking involves five to seven hours walking per day. However, it is some part of this trek at very high altitude, which will take a physical toll. There are no special physical or training requirements, but high-altitude experience & walking benefits.

Some major trekking trails in Nepal and their level of difficulty are mentioned here. We hope you will find your answers regarding the questions like How difficult is the Everest base camp trek?

Likewise, trekkers are more curious on Annapurna circuit trek difficulty, Manaslu circuit trek difficulty and Annapurna base camp trekking difficulty.

Everest base camp trek difficulty

Altitude is the major aspect that needs to be considered during Everest base camp trek. Because of this aspect trekkers may suffer from Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) and believe us trekkers shouldn’t take it lightly. Altitude sickness must not be underestimated. The starting point of Everest base camp, in essence, Lukla stands at about the height of 3,000 meters which is already high enough to cause Acute Mountain Sickness.

In addition to that, The length is another factor to consider while talking about the Everest base camp trek difficulty. The trek distance from Lukla to Everest base camp is 62 Kilometers. It depends on your trekking experience either the distance of 62 km is okay for you or not.

Even though Everest base camp can be tough for beginners, With proper training and guidance a person with normal fitness can accomplish the trek.

Everest base camp trek difficulty regarding length and altitude can be minimized by extending the number of days on trekking for acclimatization and proper rest.

Annapurna base camp trek difficulty

in the first place, the Annapurna base camp trek route is properly facilitated with networks of tea houses and hotels. Annapurna base camp trek is a moderately difficult trek. Likewise, any person with previous trekking experience and having good health can accomplish the trek with the ease. The height of the Annapurna base camp is 4130 meters while the height of Everest base camp is 5380 meters. Moreover, The altitude gaining process in Annapurna base camp trek is gradual so it will be little easier to trek in Annapurna region. Additionally, considering time duration Annapurna base camp can be done in less time than Everest base camp.

The same level of difficulty applies to Annapurna Circuit trek difficulty. However, precautions must be followed while crossing Thorung La Pass. We will plan well for every Easy, moderate and demanding trek difficulty.

Manaslu circuit trek difficulty:

Manaslu circuit trek is Demanding trek so we advise some previous trekking experience and proper physical fitness. Most of the days during your Manaslu circuit trek, you have to sleep over the height of 4000 meters. Additionally, the variation on the altitude during the trail is the major factor that makes this trek a demanding one. The uneven trail, trekking uphills and downhills on the rocky trail are the major obstacles for unfit trekkers. About 178 km long Manaslu circuit trek can be accomplished with proper guidance. Depending on your fitness level the trekking duration can be managed so that you can do this trek with an ease. Crossing Larkya La pass is where precautions are strongly advised. Although the pass is not so technical, you still need to have proper guidance and strong physical stamina to cross the pass.
